A windsurf championship scored across an entire season rather than a single weekend. The Ligue de Bourgogne Franche-Comté de Voile, the FFVoile regional body for this landlocked part of eastern France, keeps a league ranking for extrême glisse, the federation's term for the fast end of windsurfing; a national Extrême Glisse Windfoil title exists at French championship level. Results accumulate from club regattas on the region's lakes, and the 2026 championship is listed in the FFVoile calendar from mid-March through 31 December. There is no sea anywhere near Burgundy or Franche-Comté, so everything depends on lake venues and continental weather. The league's windsurf championship has previously been hosted by CNHS Vesoul at the sailing base on the lake at Vaivre-et-Montoille, with fleets divided into Formule divisions. Fleets are small and the format is patient: turn up through the year, take your results, and the table sorts itself out by December.
