Royal Brighton Yacht Club

Royal Brighton Yacht Club has stood on Port Phillip at Brighton since the 1870s and recently published a book to mark its 150th year. Sunday sailing anchors the racing programme, and the club hosts major events such as Sail Melbourne and the Australian titles for the 2.4 Metre class. Juniors progress from Little Tackers through the Tackers levels into development squads, with school holiday camps and after-school training also on offer. The marina takes permanent and casual berths, backed by hardstand and yard storage, a jib crane and a members' gymnasium. The Olympic Restaurant serves diners and functions overlooking the bay.
