Keppel Bay Sailing Club

Location: Waterline Way, Yeppoon, QLD, Australia

Keppel Bay Sailing Club was established in 1957 by a group of sailors and volunteers who wanted to build sailing for the Yeppoon community. In 1961 the founding members were offered an old skate rink and dance hall, which they converted into a permanent clubhouse on the town's foreshore. The club sails on Keppel Bay in central Queensland, with the Keppel islands offshore, and has grown into a significant regional organisation with more than one venue in operation. The clubhouse on Anzac Parade in Yeppoon includes a bar and restaurant, and the club is recognised by Australian Sailing as a hub for the sport on the Capricorn Coast.
