Hampton Harbour Boat & Sailing Club
Location: Point Samson Road, Dampier, Western Australia, Australia
Dampier has no commercial marina; recreational boating centres on the Hampton Harbour Boat and Sailing Club on the town's Esplanade, in the lee of the Dampier Archipelago. The club maintains about 30 swing moorings for vessels to roughly 20 metres, a dinghy mooring area, floating pontoons at the boat ramps, wash-down bays and fuel sales. Ashore there is a clubhouse with bar, restaurant and a broad balcony over Hampton Harbour, a rare social hub in this iron-ore port. The archipelago's 42 islands offer superb cruising and game-fishing grounds, and the club runs an active sailing calendar through the Pilbara dry season.
