Gippsland Lakes Yacht Club

Gippsland Lakes Yacht Club, established in 1937, sits on the Paynesville foreshore where McMillan Strait opens onto Lake Victoria in East Gippsland. The fully volunteer-run club is the region's largest yacht club and among the most active in regional Victoria, with state and national regattas hosted annually. Facilities include a fully licensed bar and club rooms with lake views, a launching ramp, crane, mooring jetties, wet berths, a hardstand and undercover boat storage. The 100-seat venue is the biggest in Paynesville and hosts community fixtures such as the Paynesville Music Festival, the Paynesville Classic Boat Rally and events around the Marlay Point Overnight Race.
