Jachthaven Waardeiland
Location: Oxfordlaan 25 b, Leiden, Netherlands
Jachthaven Waardeiland is a small family-run harbour on the Waardeiland in Leiden, at the edge of the historic city centre. The same family has operated it since 2007 and keeps the scale modest, with 104 berths in total. The centre of Leiden is about five minutes away on foot, so crews can walk to the markets and museums of the old city. The main sailing water is the Kagerplassen, roughly fifteen minutes north by boat. From the Kaag, routes continue toward the Braassemermeer and on to Amsterdam, while the Vliet runs south from Leiden toward Delft. Berths have water and electricity, and the harbour office handles day-to-day management.
