Jachthaven Steenwijkerdiep

Jachthaven Steenwijkerdiep sits at Veenderij 4 on the edge of Steenwijk, at the junction of the Beukers-Steenwijk and Steenwijk-Ossenzijl canals on the doorstep of the Weerribben-Wieden wetlands. The marina accommodates about 230 vessels of 8 to 16 metres in fixed berths, each supplied with fresh water and 16-amp electricity, in water up to 2.30 metres deep. It is a home-berth harbour rather than a visitor stop, as passing boats are not taken. Support facilities include a 30-tonne boat lift, a boat trolley, a high-pressure washer and a small cantina. From here Giethoorn, Ossenzijl and the Frisian lakes are all within a relaxed day's cruise.
