Jachthaven Plaszicht on the Dorpsstraat in Nieuwkoop is run by the Tijsterman family, whose firm W. Tijsterman & Zn has long combined a harbour with a boatbuilding yard known for constructing and maintaining the classic 16m2 racing class. The marina lies directly on the Nieuwkoopse Plassen and offers permanent moorings and guest berths, with water and electricity on the jetties and winter storage ashore. A large hire fleet includes electric sloops, sailing dinghies, canoes and rowing boats, which makes the harbour a busy starting point for exploring the lakes. A restaurant with a waterside terrace adjoins the site, and the business holds HISWA accreditation.
