Cullen Bay Marina

Location: Cullen Bay, Darwin, North Territory, Australia

Cullen Bay Marina is Darwin's principal locked marina, built at Larrakeyah on the city's western edge to defeat tides that range up to eight metres. Its lock is the only one in Darwin that operates at all states of the tide, running on the hour from 6am to 11pm; water level inside the chamber can shift by five metres in a single transit. Powered berths from 10 to 25 metres accept vessels to 8.5 metre beam and 3 metre draught. Facilities run to fuel, an internal slipway, pump-out, laundry, showers and 24-hour staffing and security. The surrounding precinct of restaurants and ferry wharves makes it the liveliest waterfront in the Top End.
