Le week-end Flying Monsin

Date: 19 September 2026 – 20 September 2026

Location: Meuse, Liège, Belgium

Organizer: RYCM

Le Week-end Flying Monsin is a regatta weekend run by the Royal Yacht Club de la Meuse (RYCM) on Ile Monsin in Liege. The club, founded in 1928, sails on a sheltered stretch of the Meuse about 1,500 metres long, which makes for flat-water racing in the middle of an industrial port landscape. The Flying Monsin is one of RYCM's national-level regattas sailed under the Belgian federation, alongside La Solitaire, La Duo and the Traversee de Liege, the club's traditional descent of the river through the city. In total the club organises around twenty races a year, including fifteen Coupe de Liege races that are open to members and guests as regular training. Liege is not an obvious sailing destination, which is part of the appeal here: short courses, club-level competition and a fleet that knows every shift on its stretch of river. The notice of race is published on the club website.
