The Haventuinfeest is the summer garden party of the Maritieme Kring Zeebrugge, an association devoted to the maritime life and heritage of the port of Zeebrugge. The 2026 edition takes place on Saturday 29 August from 11:00 at Hof Ter Doest in Lissewege, the whitewashed polder village just inland from the harbour. Ter Doest is a former Cistercian abbey farm, best known for its enormous thirteenth-century tithe barn, and its grounds make a comfortable setting for a day that has little to do with racing and everything to do with the social side of a port community. Previous editions have offered food from the Ter Doest kitchen, a live cover band and children's entertainment, with support from the Port of Antwerp-Bruges. Expect a relaxed mix of harbour people, village neighbours and visitors. If you are cycling the polders between Bruges and the coast, it is an easy stop.
