ICF SUP World Championships Sabaudia

Date: 14 October 2026 – 18 October 2026

Location: Sabaudia, Italy

Organizer: International Canoe Federation

Sabaudia hosts the 2026 ICF Stand Up Paddling World Championships from October 14 to 18, bringing the world's best SUP racers to the Tyrrhenian coast south of Rome. The International Canoe Federation awards world titles across three formats: sprint, technical racing and long distance. Sprint is a flat-out drag race, technical racing adds buoy turns and beach running, and the long-distance race is an endurance grind that often decides who had the best all-round preparation. Sabaudia is a new venue for the championships, confirmed after the ICF moved the 2026 event, and the setting is straightforward: a long open beach on the Tyrrhenian Sea with room for beach starts and shoreline spectating. The championships sit at the top of the ICF's SUP ranking series, so national federations send full teams. Expect the usual depth from Europe, plus strong entries from the Pacific and the Americas.
