Calves Week Regatta 2026

Date: 4 August 2026 – 7 August 2026

Location: Roaringwater Bay, Schull, Ireland

Organizer: Schull Harbour Sailing Club

Calves Week is West Cork's cruiser-racing regatta, run by Schull Harbour Sailing Club from the village of Schull on Roaringwater Bay. The 2026 championship runs over four days from Tuesday 4 to Friday 7 August, with more than 80 entries expected across seven classes, including spinnaker and white sail divisions, under dual IRC and ORC scoring. The courses are the draw here. Laid courses in Roaringwater Bay alternate with passage races through Carbery's Hundred Isles, and the Wednesday race rounds the Fastnet Rock itself, which few regattas anywhere can offer as a mid-week mark. The event keeps a deliberately family-friendly feel, with plenty of crews racing the boat they cruised down on. Each evening the fleet comes ashore for prize-giving on Main Street, where local businesses give the village a nautical festival theme for the week. It is one of the best supported regattas on the Irish calendar.
