Baltic Sail Gdańsk 2026 (30th edition)

Date: 21 August 2026

Location: Gdańsk harbour, Gdańsk, Poland

Organizer: Baltic Sail Gdańsk / City of Gdańsk

Baltic Sail Gdansk reaches its 30th edition in 2026, running from 21 to 24 August. It is Poland's biggest annual tall ship gathering, held on the Motlawa river right against the old city waterfront. For four days the quays fill with historic sailing vessels, many open for public boarding, and tickets are sold for short cruises on Gdansk Bay aboard participating ships. The signature moment is the ships' parade, which runs parallel to the beaches from Brzezno past the pier towards Jelitkowo and back, so you can watch the whole fleet from the sand without spending anything. Ashore there is sea shanty music, food stalls and the chance to meet crews. The event grew out of a network of Baltic port festivals in the 1990s and Gdansk has kept its leg going ever since. Board the bigger ships early in the day; queues build fast once the crowds arrive.
