2027 World Sailing Championship – Gdynia

Date: 22 July 2027 – 1 August 2027

Location: Gdynia Sailing Centre, Gdynia, Poland

Organizer: World Sailing

Gdynia hosts the second stage of the 2027 World Sailing Championships from 22 July to 1 August 2027. The new-format championships are split across two venues: Fortaleza in Brazil takes the one-person events earlier in the year, while Gdynia gets the two-person Olympic classes, the 49er and 49erFX skiffs, the 470 mixed dinghy and the Nacra 17 foiling catamaran, plus Para Inclusive sailing events. The regatta runs as part of Gdynia Sailing Days, the annual festival that has made this Baltic port one of Poland's main sailing venues, and a test event was held on the same waters in 2026. For the sailors this is a major step on the road to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, with world titles at stake. For spectators, skiff and Nacra racing close to the Gdynia waterfront is fast and easy to follow. Gdynia has hosted world championship sailing many times, but rarely at this scale.
