Sorrento Sailing Couta Boat Club

Location: Point Nepean Road, Sorrento, VIC, Australia

Sorrento Sailing Couta Boat Club sits on Point Nepean Road at the southern end of the Mornington Peninsula, with its clubhouse on the shore of Port Phillip. The club was formed in 2001 through the merger of Sorrento Sailing Club, established in 1948, and the Couta Boat Club, founded in the 1982/83 season. It is home to Australia's largest fleet of Couta Boats, which race every weekend from November to June, and off-the-beach dinghy racing runs alongside the classic fleet. Junior programmes cover ages five to seventeen, from Cara na Mara for the youngest to OutThere for teenagers, and adults can take learn-to-sail courses. The waterfront clubhouse offers dining and function rooms.
