Royal Yacht Club of Victoria

Location: 120 Nelson Place, Williamstown, VIC, Australia

The Royal Yacht Club of Victoria is one of Australia's oldest clubs, founded in May 1853 as the Port Phillip Yacht Club. Its home at 120 Nelson Place in Williamstown supports more than 1,000 members and over 200 yachts on the club register. Keelboat series run through the season on Port Phillip, Friday night dinghy races cater for the off-the-beach fleet, and the club stages the Lipton Cup Regatta each November. Juniors progress through Tackers and OutThere courses into squads, while adults can take keelboat and dinghy courses as well as powerboat and marine radio training. Facilities include a marina, a mooring field, a hardstand yard and a clubhouse with restaurant and bar.
