Queenscliff Cruising Yacht Club
Location: Symonds Street, Queenscliff, VIC, Australia
Queenscliff Cruising Yacht Club was established in 1963 on Sand Island, adjoining Swan Island just inside Port Phillip Heads. The club promotes cruising in Port Phillip and beyond and serves as a natural stopover for bay passages and Bass Strait adventures. It is run entirely by volunteers, from day-to-day operations to maintenance. The clubhouse offers a stainless steel kitchen, dining and meeting rooms, an upstairs reading room and bar, and viewing decks over the water, with a launching ramp and dinghy storage on site. Visiting boats are welcome, though vessels over 15 metres need prior committee approval and those over 18 metres cannot be accommodated. Crews must sleep aboard as camping is not permitted on the island.
