Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club occupies a waterfront site at 95 Hannell Street in Wickham, beside Newcastle Harbour in New South Wales. The racing calendar takes in offshore and inshore series, development regattas and organised Cruising in Company passages. Its sailing academy teaches Tackers courses for children aged seven to twelve, the OutThere programme for youth aged eleven to seventeen and adult courses, together with powerboat and instructor training. The marina accepts visiting yachts, a commercial boatyard handles maintenance and repairs, and the Nautica bar and restaurant serves waterfront dining. Function spaces are available for events and weddings.
