Mooloolaba Yacht Club

Location: Parkyn Parade, Mooloolaba, QLD, Australia

Mooloolaba Yacht Club was established in 1967 and sails from the Clubs' Precinct at Mooloolaba Marina on the Mooloolah River, at 33-45 Parkyn Parade on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. The club became familiar to offshore sailors as co-host of the former Sydney to Mooloolaba race, an ocean classic first sailed to Brisbane in 1964 before the finish moved north in 1973. Current racing takes in weekend yacht races, Wednesday afternoon racing off Mooloolaba and one-design social racing on the river, plus regattas from the Etchells championships to a foiling regatta. As an Australian Sailing Discover Sailing centre it trains crews on four Elliott 6 keelboats and runs women's skills development programmes and a women's keelboat regatta.
