Middle Harbour Yacht Club
Location: 75 Lower Parriwi Road, Mosman, NSW, Australia
Middle Harbour Yacht Club began in 1939 as the Middle Harbour Cruising Association, founded by Togo Middows and George Griffin, and took its present name after the Second World War. The first clubhouse opened at The Spit in 1954, and in 1956 the yacht Siandra became the club's first entrant in the Sydney Hobart Race. Today the clubhouse stands at 75 Lower Parriwi Road on The Spit at Mosman, on the shores of Middle Harbour in Sydney. The club organises the Sydney to Mooloolaba Yacht Race, a long-established offshore passage up the New South Wales and Queensland coasts, and is regarded as one of Australia's leading sailing institutions.
