Hervey Bay Sailing Club

Hervey Bay Sailing Club is an off-the-beach dinghy and trailable yacht club at 427 Charlton Esplanade, Torquay, on Queensland's Fraser Coast. Boats launch straight from a beach that gives spectators excellent views of the racing. The club organises the annual Hervey Bay Boat Club Bay to Bay Trailable Yacht Race, Queensland's largest trailable yacht race and one of the three biggest trailable passage races in Australia; the 45th edition ran over the first weekend of May 2026. Run by volunteers for amateur sailors, the club keeps things deliberately simple, with no gaming machines, restaurant or marina services on site.
