Georges River Sailing Club
Location: Riverside Drive, Sandringham, NSW, Australia
Georges River Sailing Club occupies a waterfront site at 2 Sanoni Avenue in Sandringham, in Sydney's south, where the Georges River opens into Botany Bay. Formal racing runs on Saturdays from September to May, with practice courses and twilight sailing every Wednesday evening during daylight saving. The sailing programme spans Tackers learn to sail courses, Optimists and Flying 11s for juniors through to ILCA, RS Aero and Tasar dinghies, and try sailing sessions welcome newcomers of all ages. The club describes members from beginners to world champions. Beyond the sailing division, the licensed clubhouse offers dining and function spaces overlooking the bay.
