Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia
Location: Lady Gowrie Drive, North Haven, SA, Australia
The Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia occupies around 36 hectares of land and water on the Le Fevre Peninsula at North Haven, from the inner breakwater through to Lady Gowrie Drive. Set up as a private company in 1973, the development brought about the North Haven suburb itself, and the club now serves more than 1,200 members. Its Marine Academy is the only training centre in South Australia accredited by both Australian Sailing and the Royal Yachting Association, with courses open to members and the wider boating public. Ashore, the Mariners restaurant and an award-winning function venue overlook the marina.
