Cronulla Sailing Club

Location: 50 Waratah Street, Cronulla, NSW, Australia

Cronulla Sailing Club races on Gunnamatta Bay in Port Hacking, on the southern edge of Sydney, and has recently marked 90 years of sailing on the bay. The first club there, the Port Hacking VJ Amateur Sailing Club, began racing in 1934; the Cronulla VS Sailing Club followed in 1948 and built its own clubhouse next door in 1951. Today the club runs yacht racing in inshore and offshore divisions, off-the-beach dinghy racing and Sailability sessions. Friday twilight races start at 6pm during daylight saving from October to April, yachts race on Saturdays and dinghies on Sundays, and the offshore series ranges from Bate Bay to Botany Bay, Sydney Harbour and Shellharbour. The clubhouse stands at 50 Waratah Street.
