Adelaide Sailing Club

Location: West Beach Road, West Beach, SA, Australia

Adelaide Sailing Club was formally established in 1998 and draws its lineage from the Harbour Boat and Sailing Club and the Glenelg Sailing Club. It sails from West Beach on Gulf St Vincent, where a sandy beach, big lawns and easy parking give safe launching for dinghy fleets. The club has hosted major championships, among them the 505 Worlds, the Finn Nationals and ILCA title events. Its Discover Sailing centre runs Tackers courses for children and learn-to-sail classes for adults, with Pacer dinghies available for hire. The clubhouse includes Fuego by the Sea, a professionally operated restaurant and function centre, and club racing continues through the season with archived results.
