McConaghy Boats
Location: Gosford, New South Wales, Australia
McConaghy Boats has built advanced composites for 50 years and claims more maxi yacht line honours wins than any other builder. The Australian operation moved from Mona Vale on Sydney's northern beaches to 9-11 Tatura Avenue in Gosford in 2017, a shift that improved facilities and suited a workforce largely based on the Central Coast. Famous projects include the supermaxi Wild Oats XI and composite work on James Cameron's Deepsea Challenger submersible. Current output covers MC performance cruising catamarans, the AC40 one-design foiling monohulls and the Panther series of electric hybrid catamarans in 48, 56 and 68-foot models, plus components for Formula One teams. The Cure Marine brand was recently acquired.
