Tipperary Waters Marina

Tipperary Waters Marina lies behind a tidal lock off Frances Bay at 86 Frances Bay Drive, Stuart Park, five minutes' drive from Darwin's city centre. Like its neighbours it exists because of Darwin's huge tides: the lock needs at least four metres of tide, takes a maximum beam of six metres, and transits are booked with the lockmaster on VHF channel 8 when passing Stokes Hill Wharf. Berth counts quoted range from 45 to 72, for vessels of roughly 12 to 22 metres. It is Darwin's most liveaboard-friendly marina, with showers, laundry, power and water on the pontoons and a supermarket, chandlery, restaurants and a bus stop within walking distance.
