Port of Port Fairy

Location: 111 Griffiths Street, Port Fairy, Victoria, Australia

The Port of Port Fairy occupies the lower Moyne River in one of Victoria's oldest and best-preserved coastal towns, near the western end of the Great Ocean Road. Moyne Shire Council operates the port with a full-time manager, and berths along the river wharves are rented casually or permanently to a mixed fleet of cray, abalone, shark and squid boats, charter operators and visiting yachts. Facilities include 24-hour card-access diesel, a slipway, a boat ramp and fish-cleaning and barbecue areas. Handsome bluestone training walls guide the river out to sea past Griffiths Island and its shearwater rookery. The harbour is a traditional refuge on the exposed passage between Portland and Cape Otway.
