Gippsland Ports - Lakes Entrance Marina
Location: Bullock Island, Lakes Entrance, Victoria, Australia
Gippsland Ports maintains the berthing at Lakes Entrance, where a man-made channel cut through Ninety Mile Beach connects the Gippsland Lakes to Bass Strait. Five premium valet berths of 20 by 6 metres sit on the Cunninghame Quay jetty behind a security gate, each with water and power, while long-term berths are allocated on application through the port authority. On nearby Bullock Island the authority operates a boatyard commissioned in 2005 that handles vessels to 100 tonnes, together with a refuelling facility for diesel and unleaded and a sewage pump-out. Lakes Entrance supports one of Australia's largest fishing fleets, and the bar entrance demands care in strong onshore weather. Sheltered lake cruising extends west to Metung and Paynesville.
