Breakwater Marina
Location: PO Box 1469, Townsville, Queensland, Australia
Breakwater Marina shelters behind its namesake breakwater at the entrance to Ross Creek, a few minutes' walk from central Townsville and the restaurants of The Strand. The marina offers 325 berths for vessels up to 45 metres, each supplied with water and single phase power included in the fee, with three phase available at selected berths. A self-serve fuel wharf carries diesel and unleaded 24 hours a day, with ice and gas sold alongside. Berth holders can borrow the marina's courtesy car for provisioning runs. Magnetic Island lies eight kilometres offshore, and the marina serves as the main departure point for cruising grounds that stretch north to Hinchinbrook and the Palm Islands.
