The 2026 EC-12 National Championship Regatta is the United States title event for the East Coast 12 Meter radio-controlled sailing class, sanctioned by the American Model Yachting Association. It takes place in St. Augustine, Florida, from 29 to 31 October 2026. The EC-12 is one of the classic American RC classes: a one-design boat about 59 inches long with a six-foot mast, roughly 1,300 square inches of sail and a weight around 24 pounds, with hulls built from near-identical molds so racing comes down to tuning and skipper skill. Model sailing gets dismissed by people who have never tried it, which is a mistake. The tactics, rules and starts are the same as full-size fleet racing, compressed onto a pond, and a national championship fleet is unforgiving. Florida is a stronghold of the class, so local knowledge will be thick on the ground.
