2026 Formula Windsurfing World Championships (Fin&Foil)

Date: 15 September 2026 – 19 September 2026

Location: Guarapari, Espirito Santo State, Brazil

The 2026 Formula Windsurfing World Championships bring together the class's two disciplines, Fin and Foil, at Guarapari on the coast of Espirito Santo state, Brazil, with racing scheduled for 15 to 19 September 2026. Formula Windsurfing is the big-rig course racing class: wide boards and large sails, built to get around an upwind-downwind course across the widest possible range of wind. Foil equipment has changed the light-air end of the sport, letting fleets race on days that would once have been a write-off, and the world title is now contested on both fin and foil. Three completed races are required to validate each championship. Guarapari is a beach resort town about 50 km from Vitoria airport, and Brazil has one of the strongest Formula fleets anywhere, so the home entry should be deep. Registration runs through the International Windsurfing Association, and the notice of race is published on the class website.
