Townsville Yacht Club
Location: Plume Street, South Townsville, QLD, Australia
Townsville Yacht Club is based at 1 Plume Street in South Townsville, north Queensland, with racing waters on Cleveland Bay opposite Magnetic Island. The club is best known as the home of Magnetic Island Race Week, an annual regatta that draws crews from around Australia, and it also stages the GaLS women's regatta and a seasonal programme of club races. Newcomers can start through a Discover Sailing course. Ashore, members and visitors have the use of a marina with berths available, the Captain's Bar and The Deck restaurant, which opens Wednesday to Saturday for lunch and dinner and on Sunday for lunch. Function rooms hold up to 300 guests.
