Maroochy Sailing Club
Location: Memorial Avenue, Maroochydore, QLD, Australia
Maroochy Sailing Club, sometimes listed as Maroochydore Sailing Club, is a volunteer-run family club on Chambers Island in the Maroochy River at Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast. The clubhouse has stood on the island, reached from Bradman Avenue, for more than 50 years. Sunday is the main activity day, and the season runs from late August to early May with occasional winter sailing. Dinghy classes range from Optimists for juniors to Lasers and Sabres, and crews sail both on the river and off Mooloolaba Beach. As a certified Australian Sailing Discover Sailing centre the club offers Tackers and Start Sailing courses for children and adults, and its hall is available for hire.
