Concord & Ryde Sailing Club
Location: 1 Nullawarra Avenue, Putney, NSW, Australia
Concord and Ryde Sailing Club has raced dinghies on Sydney's Parramatta River since 1945 from its base at Kissing Point Park in Putney. Saturday afternoon racing draws an average fleet of around 50 boats on courses between Ryde Bridge, Majors Bay and Brays Bay, with classes that include Tasars, NS14s, Spirals, Herons, Optimists, Moths, Firebugs and catamarans. An active cadet fleet and a popular learn-to-sail programme bring juniors and adults into the sport, and the club takes part in Australian Sailing's She Sails programme for women and girls. The family-friendly clubhouse stands at the corner of Waterview Street and Yaralla Road on the Putney foreshore.
