Broome Sailing Club
Location: Hamersley Street, Broome, WA, Australia
Broome Sailing Club sails off the beach at Gantheaume Point in Western Australia's Kimberley region. The club has long operated without a permanent clubhouse and has worked with the Shire of Broome and the Broome Turf Club on plans for a purpose-built home at the Gantheaume Point site. Membership is kept accessible, with day membership from ten dollars that covers up to three events before full membership is required. Sailors can bring their own boats or simply turn up to crew at club sailing afternoons. Support from Australian Sailing has helped the club fund a replacement safety boat.
