Bribie Island Sailing Club

Location: 1 Sunderland Drive, Bellara, QLD, Australia

Bribie Island Sailing Club races on the sheltered waters of Pumicestone Passage from a compound beside the Volunteer Marine Rescue base on Marine Parade at Sylvan Beach, Bellara. The club began in 2002 as the sailing division of the Bribie Island Boating Club, which adopted the name Bribie Island Yacht Club in 2005, and it is approaching its 25th anniversary. Trailer sailers, multihulls and small off-the-beach craft make up the fleet. Club racing takes place on Saturdays and Sundays, midweek social sailing runs on Wednesdays, and crews gather around a barbecue at the Bellara base after time on the water. Boats launch from the nearby Bellara ramp.
