Darwin Sailing Academy

Darwin Sailing Academy is the training arm of the Darwin Sailing Club, which operates from Fannie Bay on Darwin's western foreshore in the Northern Territory. The academy's instructors hold Australian Sailing qualifications and courses cover dinghy and keelboat sailing for juniors, teenagers and adults. The program includes Tackers courses for children, Out There Sailing for teenagers, school holiday programs, adult learn to sail courses and powerboat handling courses. Beginner courses are open to non-members; membership becomes necessary for advanced programs. The club also offers private lessons, coaching for intermediate sailors, corporate sailing and school group instruction, and runs a racing calendar from its Fannie Bay clubhouse.
