Australian National Maritime Museum

The Australian National Maritime Museum stands at 2 Murray Street on Darling Harbour in Sydney and serves as the national museum of the sea. Its floating fleet is the headline attraction: visitors can board the destroyer HMAS Vampire, the Oberon-class submarine HMAS Onslow, the patrol boat HMAS Advance, the Edwardian steam yacht Ena and the commando raider Krait, while a full-scale replica of Cook's HMB Endeavour sails from the wharves. Galleries cover First Nations seafaring, migration by sea, naval history and maritime archaeology, supported by touring exhibitions. Entry to the permanent galleries is free, with tickets required for vessel boarding, and the museum opens daily from 10am.
