Salty Dawg Caribbean Rally 2026

Date: 1 November 2026

Location: Hampton Public Piers, Hampton, United States

Organizer: Salty Dawg Sailing Association

The Salty Dawg Caribbean Rally is a cruise-in-company passage run by the volunteer Salty Dawg Sailing Association, and 2026 marks its 16th consecutive year. Boats gather in Hampton, Virginia, with departure planned for 1 November 2026, weather permitting. Crews pick their own destination: Antigua, a passage of around twelve days with an optional stop in Bermuda, or Marsh Harbour in the Abacos, about five days away. This is not a race. The point is safety and company on a serious offshore passage, with weather guidance, position tracking, shoreside support and experienced offshore sailors on call. Before departure there is a run of passage-preparation seminars and social events in Hampton, and arrival gatherings wait at the far end. The fleet is a broad mix of cruising boats, from couples making their first ocean passage to long-time Caribbean regulars heading south for the winter season. Registration is through the Salty Dawg Sailing Association.
