Iceland's national Seamen's Day, celebrated annually on the first Sunday of June (7 June 2026). Reykjavík's Old Harbour hosts the 'Hátíð hafsins' Festival of the Sea with rowing and swimming competitions, life-saving demonstrations, vessel tours and family activities, while Hafnarfjörður Harbour hosts a parallel programme.
