Raja Muda Selangor International Regatta

Date: 13 November 2026 – 21 November 2026

Location: Malaysia, Malaysia

Organizer: Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC)

The Raja Muda Selangor International Regatta is one of Asia's oldest offshore regattas, organised by the Royal Selangor Yacht Club in association with the Royal Ocean Racing Club. The 36th edition runs from 13 to 21 November 2026. The format is the event's signature: three long overnight passage races up the Malacca Strait, broken up by three days of harbour racing around the islands off Penang and Langkawi, more than 300 miles of racing packed into nine days. It is a genuine test of endurance. Crews race through the night in shifting Strait conditions, then switch straight into short-course mode at the stopovers, each of which has its own shoreside programme. The fleet mixes serious IRC race boats with cruising entries and club crews from across the region, and international teams treat it as the opening act of Southeast Asia's regatta season. Few events anywhere combine passage racing and island stopovers this well.
