Phuket King's Cup Regatta

Date: 5 December 2026 – 12 December 2026

Location: Phuket, Thailand, Phuket, Thailand

Organizer: Phuket King's Cup Regatta Organizing Committee

The Phuket King's Cup Regatta is Asia's best-known keelboat regatta, sailed every year since 1987 under the patronage of the Thai royal family. It was founded to mark the 60th birthday of King Bhumibol Adulyadej and has kept its slot at the turn of November and December ever since. Racing is run out of Kata Beach on Phuket's west coast, with courses in the Andaman Sea and a shore-side program of parties and prizegivings that is half the reason many crews return. The fleet mixes serious IRC racing boats with cruising classes, multihulls and dinghy classes, and draws entries from across Asia, Australia and Europe. The 2026 regatta is the 37th edition, scheduled for 5 to 12 December. Early December falls within the northeast monsoon, so crews can usually count on warm water and workable breeze rather than the flat calms of the wet season.
