Community volunteer workday at Paepae o Heeia, a traditional Hawaiian fishpond (loko ia) on Kaneohe Bay, organized by the Polynesian Voyaging Society as part of the Hokulea 50th anniversary of the 1976 maiden voyage to Tahiti. Participants restore the fishpond wall (kuapa), followed by lunch and music. The fishpond is a living example of traditional Hawaiian maritime aquaculture and ocean stewardship.
