boot Düsseldorf is the largest boat and water sports show in the world, and the 2027 edition runs 23 to 31 January at the Messe Düsseldorf fairgrounds on the Rhine. The scale is hard to overstate: around 1,500 exhibitors from roughly 67 nations across 16 halls, drawing over 200,000 visitors from some 120 countries. Sailing gets serious floor space, with dinghies, yachts, rigs and equipment filling several halls, but boot covers the whole of the sport on and under water. There are halls for diving, surfing, paddling, fishing, superyachts and water tourism, plus indoor pools for try-out sessions and a standing program of talks and demonstrations. For the European marine industry it is the key January meeting point, where new models debut and deals are signed before the season. Nine days is barely enough to see it all.
