ARC 2026 Prizegiving

This is the finish-line celebration of the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers, the largest annual transatlantic sailing event in the world. The ARC has run every year since 1986, taking cruising yachts 2,700 nautical miles from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to Rodney Bay in Saint Lucia. The 2026 fleet, expected to number more than 200 boats and around 1,200 sailors, departs the Canaries on 22 November; an average yacht takes 18 to 21 days to cross. The prizegiving at Rodney Bay on 19 December closes the rally. It is less a formal awards night than a reunion of the whole fleet, from race-division crews to families who crossed with children aboard, and it caps three weeks of arrivals in which Rodney Bay Marina fills with ARC flags. Organized by World Cruising Club, the ceremony marks the point where the rally ends and most crews' Caribbean cruising season begins.
