Sunsail
Location: Shute Harbour, Queensland, Australia
Sunsail's Whitsundays base sits at Shute Harbour, the largest natural harbour on Australia's eastern seaboard, about five miles from the township of Airlie Beach. The global charter operator keeps a private jetty there for its fleet of bareboat monohulls and catamarans. The cruising ground takes in the 74 islands of the Whitsunday group, all lying within 15 miles of the Queensland coast and within about three hours' sail of the mainland marinas. Guests can also choose skippered options. Whitehaven Beach and the fringing reefs of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park are the headline destinations for a week's charter.
