Sailaway Port Douglas
Location: Crystalbrook Marina, Port Douglas, Queensland, Australia
Sailaway is a family business in Port Douglas that owns and operates four sailing catamarans on trips to premium Great Barrier Reef locations. Full-day and afternoon cruises visit the Low Isles, where guests snorkel over coral gardens on a guided tour with a marine biologist and often swim with turtles; the surrounding reef holds around 150 species of hard coral. The flagship Sailaway VI is a luxury Lagoon 560. An outer reef itinerary runs to Mackay Coral Cay, and daily sunset sails leave in the late afternoon. The company also operates the world's only fully solar-powered glass bottom boat, a zero-emission way to view the reef.
