Jachthaven W.V. De Tweede Haven

Location: Hellingweg 9, Scheveningen, Netherlands

The Tweede Haven ('Second Harbour') is the largest of Scheveningen's three basins, 800 by 80 metres, dug in 1931 and opened by the Queen that April. When the fish auction moved to the Derde Haven in 1965 the basin was given over to recreation, and a marina opened here in 1972. Today the berths in the Tweede Haven are run by Jachtclub Scheveningen, a club of six to seven hundred sailors, motorboaters, anglers, divers and rowers with around 300 berths. Visitor berths come with water, electricity, WiFi and showers, all a short walk from the beach and the boulevard.
